About SASE

Secure Access Service Edge, or SASE (pronounced “sassy”), converges networking and network security into a single, cloud-delivered offering protecting users, applications, and data - while supporting the needs of digital business transformation and edge computing.

SASE addresses the complexity of using multiple vendors and solutions to secure the perimeter. Many companies have perimeter-based approaches to secure anywhere, anytime access which has resulted in a patchwork of vendors, policies, and consoles creating cost and complexity for users and security administrators.

Gartner® states that “by 2025, at least 60% of enterprises will have explicit strategies and timelines for SASE adoption encompassing user, branch and edge access, up from 10% in 2020.” Enterprises know that security and networking must evolve toward a SASE architecture that applies Zero Trust principles.
